In the context of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, the government is trying to provide state support to farmers, including buying grain.
Roman Leshchenko, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, announced this on the air of the 24 Ukraine TV channel.
According to him, the state has developed certain measures to support farmers.
“This is the maximum simplification of all regulatory acts. This is also targeted support – subsidies per hectare,” Roman Leshchenko stated.
He also said that taking into account the blocking of the port infrastructure, the national operator has launched a project to buy grain.
“We are now working on these processes through joint efforts,” summed up Roman Leshchenko.
Recall that the domestic consumption of grain will be fully provided by its own harvest. Earlier, domestic consumption of food wheat exceeded 4.1 million tons.
