As of November 16, 2021, according to information from Zernotorg.ua, in Ukraine, the trend towards higher prices for grain crops continues, while the cost of soybeans is falling.
The upward trend in the cost of cereals, which began on November 15, continues. Over the past 24 hours, food and feed wheat has risen in price at Ukrainian ports by an average of UAH 30 / t, barley by UAH 60 / t and corn by UAH 45 / t.
According to Alexander Tishchenko, analyst at Zernotorg.ua, the reason for the rise in the cost of grain was a short-term price correction, supported by increased demand for exports.
“There are short-term corrections, the depth of which is very insignificant. But the upward trend is still valid. The insane demand factor is pushing the stock exchanges and, accordingly, the prices for cereals upward,” the analyst explained.
Sunflower prices have stabilized, while soybeans have continued to fall in price since last week.
