30% of households use generics, but their prices are going up

Today, about 30% of farms use generic plant protection products.

Such data was announced by Volodymyr Voevodin, an expert of the BASF company and the express chairman of the State Committee of Ukraine for Land Resources, in his column on the AgroTimes website.

These are mainly small horticultural enterprises, the specialist said.

“High-intensity large farms from 100 hectares have already passed this 'disease',” explains Voevodin, “although they also have an insignificant share of generic products. Especially insecticides, because generic fungicides are already afraid to use. "

The expert believes that the desire to save money on SVR by purchasing generics is no longer relevant. Next season, according to him, “cheap generics will no longer be cheap,” and prices are already going up.
