Farmers are determined to sow and fight
The sowing campaign this year will be difficult not only because of the military threat, but also because of problems with logistics. Currently, the supply has stopped, there are problems with the lack of seeds, plant protection products, fertilizers.
“But it is necessary to sow, because the food security of the country is under threat. Sowing is our second front,” says Volodymyr Kabak, founder of the Agrotok agricultural company (Kirovograd region), in a comment for Forbes.ua. “We are arming ourselves, preparing to fight back, we are in constant contact with the Ministry of Defense and territorial defense.”
At the same time, preparations are underway for the spring sowing campaign. “We are determined to sow and fight,” the farmer says.
The behavior of the invaders causes even greater resistance from the locals, who begin to wage a guerrilla war. Unlike urban residents who were forced to leave their homes due to the bombing, rural residents do not leave anywhere.
“Farmers will not leave their own land, they will fight to the last. Why? They directly say: we are defending our land, this is a war for each of us, and it will not be possible to sit quietly, ”the article says.
Many farmers, according to Vladimir Kabak, have resources for partisan resistance: fuel, equipment, food. After 2014, people have enough guns.
Farmers are mobile: they have agricultural equipment, pickup trucks, which they now use, in particular, to pick up and pull Russian armored vehicles to the Ukrainian military.
