GPZKU intends to return the leading position in grain export
The State Food and Grain Corporation in 2021 reduced the volume of export sales, but plans to increase them in the near future.
This is stated in the message of the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine on the Facebook page.
“The new management of the corporation and professional management are taking a number of measures to restore the reputation of JSC “GPZKU” in the grain market.
In the near future, the company plans to increase sales, and next season to return to the pool of Ukrainian leaders in grain exports,” the message says.
For reference: earlier it was reported that the government of Ukraine created an interdepartmental working group to ensure the fulfillment of the obligations of the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine JSC to the Export-Import Bank of China and the China National Corporation of Machinery Industry and General Contracts (CCEC).
GPZKU was established by the government of Ukraine in August 2010. It includes an extensive network of branches – linear and port elevators, mills, feed mills and cereals. In total, 53 subdivisions of the GPZKU branch can store 3.75 million tons of grain, including the total export transshipment capacity of the Odessa and Nikolaev ports is about 2.5 million tons of grain cargo per year. The corporation has two of its own river terminals (Golopristansky and Velikolepetisky elevators) with the ability to transship grain to water transport. All processing enterprises of DPKZKU have implemented a food production safety management system ISO 22000: 2005 HACCP.
