NIBULON will produce speed boats for the border service of Ukraine
The NIBULON Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant signed an agreement on the construction of 5 speed boats of the OCEA FPB 98 MKI type for the Ukrainian border service.
This was announced by the general director, the main owner of the company "NIBULON" Alexey Vadatursky on his Facebook page.
“Today, a really big event happened in my life, the life of our company and the whole of Ukraine. It was on this day that the issue of localizing the construction of high-speed boats for the border guard service at the facilities of our enterprise was resolved, which, of course, should strengthen the defense capability and protection of Ukraine, ”wrote Oleksiy Vadatursky.
The general director of the company noted that in order to earn such a high confidence in the company from the state and international partners, to get the opportunity to build military boats for Ukrainian border guards, the plant actually took 7 years of complex painstaking work.
“During this time, about 80 ships were built and became the best shipping company in Ukraine. To do this, we modernized the shipyard, investing $ 35 million in its reconstruction. Now we have the most modern plant, where every 5th shipbuilder in the country works, and our largest cargo fleet operates under the Ukrainian flag with crews of Ukrainian sailors, ”says Oleksiy Vadatursky ...
At the same time, the owner noted that the company does not stop there and does everything in its power to revive shipping, so that Ukraine is a truly maritime country, and not a country by the sea.
“I am convinced that this is a really big event, which Ukraine has been involved in for almost 3 years. Starting with the intergovernmental framework agreement between Ukraine and France in Paris in 2019, the ratification of the intergovernmental agreement in 2020, the agreement between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Tax Service with OCEA in 2020, a memorandum between OCEA and our company, as well as numerous diplomatic negotiations, and ending with the signed Agreement on the construction of high-speed patrol boats at the Ukrainian plant, ”stressed Oleksiy Vadatursky.
