The first container train from Ukraine leaves for China
The first container freight train from Ukraine to China departed on September 28 from the Kiev railway station Leski. Ukrinform reports.
According to the information, the train should arrive at the destination station in 18 days. The Ukraine - China train is a part of the China - Europe international freight rail link.
Over the 10 years of its existence, more than 50 thousand trains have been sent along this route.
The event on the occasion of the launch of the Ukraine-China train was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Ukraine Fan Xianrong, First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vasily Shkurakov, Deputy Minister of Economy Mikhail Lev, Chairman of the State Customs Service Pavel Ryabikin, Chairman of the State Food and Consumer Service Vladislava Magaletskaya, and. O. Chairman of the Board of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" Alexander Kamyshin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gennady Chizhikov and others.
Container trains between China and Ukraine began operating on a regular basis in July 2020. Since that moment, 52 trains have been sent to Ukraine. Until now, container trains have run only from China to Ukraine.
Let us recall that the export of Ukrainian grain is 1 million tons less than last year.
