Ukraine plans to increase the minimum wholesale and retail prices for alcohol
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine wants to increase the minimum wholesale and retail prices for alcoholic beverages.
This is stated in the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The draft decree provides for amendments to the appendix to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated October 30, 2008 No. 957 "On establishing the size of the minimum wholesale and retail prices for certain types of alcoholic beverages."
“According to the decree, it is proposed to increase the size of the minimum wholesale and retail prices for certain types of alcoholic beverages, depending on the product code of UKTVED, in particular, retail prices for vodka and alcoholic beverages – by 8.3%; whiskey, rum, and gin – by 8.4%; cognac (brandy) – by 4.8-8.3%,” the document says.
In addition, it is proposed to increase the size of the minimum wholesale and retail prices for wine products (cider and perry; wines, vermouth, and other fermented drinks (including mixtures of fermented drinks and mixtures based on fermented drinks), the actual strength of which is higher than 1 2 % by volume of ethyl alcohol, but not higher than 22% by volume of ethyl alcohol) – by 8.2-34.2%. Retail prices for regular (non-sparkling) wines, sparkling wines, and carbonated wine drinks do not change.
At the same time, according to the document, it is necessary to bring the description of goods and their grouping by codes according to UKTVED in accordance with the Tax Code of Ukraine.
