In drought conditions, an irrigation system can pay off in one season

On average, the payback period for an irrigation system is up to 3 years. At the same time, in drought conditions, the irrigation system can pay off in just 1 season.

Stanislav Vozny, the head of the Variant Irrigation service center in Melitopol, spoke about this in his blog.

According to him, an irrigation project often has many nuances, depending on the characteristics of the field of a particular farm, crops grown, availability of access to water and much more.

“One of the decisive factors in the possibility of starting irrigation systems is the availability of access to a water source with sufficient quantity for irrigation. Farms located near large rivers or irrigation canals are lucky in this regard. For those who do not have this advantage, we can also offer a solution."

Often, farmers are ready to drill wells, build storage tanks or pull a pipeline for 5 km or more. At the same time, as the expert emphasized, although this increases the cost of irrigation per hectare, many do so, since this is a guarantee of the harvest, which means that the investment will pay off.

Stanislav Vozny said that the basic design of the Variant Irrigation sprinkler machines is similar to the American irrigation systems, but at the same time, our own design developments are applied in ours.

“Our key task was to create a product that is in no way inferior in quality to foreign brands. We understood that this was the only way we could compete with eminent global manufacturers. After all, the purchase of such an irrigation system is a significant investment for agricultural enterprises and they want to be sure of the reliability of the equipment,” he said.

Today, depending on the needs of customers and the characteristics of the field, Variant Irrigation offers the client the following types of sprinkler systems:

  • circular stationary systems,
  • frontal sprinkler systems,
  • universal (racetrack) systems with a reversal function.

Also, Variant Irrigation launched the first two-wing irrigation system this year. Its distinctive feature is the presence of an autonomous pumping station with water intake from the canal and control via a cable.

Recall that in 2021, Variant Agro Stroy created a new brand name Variant Irrigation on the sprinkler market, which combines the company's experience and expertise in the field of agricultural machinery and a wide production base to meet the needs of modern farmers.
