Sugar exports fell 6 times
The export of sugar (TN VED code 1701) in January-November 2021 is 23.59 thousand tons, which is almost 6 times less than the same indicator of the last year (140.1 thousand tons).
This is stated in the message of the Scientific and Practical Center for Sugar Beet Production.
As noted, in monetary terms, exports amounted to $ 12.67 million.
It is also specified that since the beginning of 2021/22 MY, sugar supplies to foreign markets amounted to 21.36 thousand tons (in 2020/21 MY - 58.3 thousand tons).
The largest importing countries of Ukrainian sugar from all exports (in monetary terms) in January-November 2021 were: Israel (20.29%), Armenia (20.20%), Azerbaijan (10.94%).
Sugar imports (TN VED 1701) in January-November 2021 amounted to 163.6 thousand tons. The largest sugar exporting countries to Ukraine from all imports (in monetary terms) in January-November 2021 were: Brazil (72.89%) , Poland (17.16%), Belgium (2.74%).
Imports of other sugars for January-November 2021 (HS code 1702) amounted to 28.8 thousand tons, exports - 43.1 thousand tons.
Export of molasses in January-November 2021 is 9.7 thousand tons, and imports for the corresponding period - 4.9 thousand tons.
The largest countries-importers of molasses from Ukraine from all exports (in monetary terms) in January-November 2021 were Lithuania (48.83%), Hungary (35.85%), Israel (7.66%).
