Export of grain of the new crop exceeded last year's figure by 17%
Ukraine since the beginning of the 2021/2022 marketing year (MR, July-June) and as of November 3, exported 19.72 million tons of cereals and legumes, which is 17% or 2.8 million tons more than in the past.
This is evidenced by the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
Reportedly, 12.5 million tons of wheat, 2.4 million tons of corn, 4.5 million tons of barley, 43.9 thousand tons of flour have already been exported.
In 2020/2021 MY, wheat exports amounted to 16.64 million tons, corn - 23.08 million tons, barley - 4.23 million tons, flour - 0.13 million tons.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Ukraine exported 56.72 million tons of grain and leguminous crops in 2019/2020 MY.
In 2020, 83.8 million tons of main crops were harvested from an area of 24.1 million hectares. In particular, 65.4 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were threshed from an area of 15.3 million hectares.
