Germany is the best export destination. Austria and the Netherlands are suitable for re-export.
This is stated in the material of the magazine "Gardening in Ukrainian".
According to the ITC resource, which, however, does not take into account political circumstances, Russia is a promising market for cherries, but Ukraine does not export there today. Second place is shared by Germany and China.
“But we also cannot deliver to the Celestial Empire due to certain misunderstandings between the state consumer services of the two countries. Therefore, Germany is the best destination for Ukraine,” says Maria Lakeyeva, an analyst at the Ukrainian Berries Association.
A solvent population lives there, the Germans import many cherries and are really ready to buy Ukrainian cherries, but they have certain quality issues. Austria and the Netherlands are good places for re-exports, and through them you can reach more distant countries. There is a request from Italy.
