Ukraine is preparing trial batches of apples for India
The State Food Service, together with the Embassy of Ukraine in India, managed to again agree with Indian officials on trial export shipments of apples.
The head of the State Food Service, Vladislava Magaletska, announced this on her Facebook page.
The official noted that in 2018 Ukraine and India had already agreed on trial batches of Ukrainian apples. In 2019, our exporters started deliveries. However, some parties received notifications of non-compliance. Phytosanitary requirements in Ukraine became known after delivery. As a result, the export was stopped.
“Last year we were able to rectify the situation. In 2021, the State Food and Consumer Service, together with the Embassy of Ukraine in India, managed to again agree with Indian officials on trial export shipments, Vladislava Magaletska emphasized. “Now no one has the right to make a mistake. Ukrainian apples must fully meet all the requirements stipulated by Indian law.”
The head of the State Food and Consumer Service added that India is one of the most interesting markets in the world. Therefore, all apple exporting states are trying to gain a foothold there. It's not so easy - the market is quite specific.
