Farmers of the Odesa region will receive state compensation for the lost harvest
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy held a meeting of the working group on compensation for losses from damage to agricultural crops as a result of man-made and natural emergencies. This was reported by the press service of the department.
“We need to do everything so that the affected farmers receive the promised state compensation. Since it is small farms that create jobs in rural areas, and support from the state in the amount of UAH 4,700 per hectare will help them not to lose a year and re-sow or change the culture,” said Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotsky.
During the meeting, the members of the meeting heard a summary sheet of the regional commission of the Odesa region, which was submitted documents in accordance with the deadlines, and in accordance with paragraph 9 of the Procedure for the use of funds, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated August 11, 2021 No. 885.
In addition, it was noted that the number of recipients included in the consolidated statement of the regional commission of the Odesa region is 528, the total area for which the subsidy is provided, respectively, is 22,959.69 hectares.
It is noted that in 2021, a subsidy is provided for completely lost (dead) crops starting from January 1, 2020.
Let us remind you that for 1 ha of completely lost crops, farmers will receive 4.7 thousand UAH. state support.
