The National Bank banned the export of more than 10 thousand euros abroad without documents
The National Bank returned the requirement for citizens to provide supporting documents of banks when moving currency values outside Ukraine in an amount exceeding 10,000 euros (equivalent), in particular, documents on cash withdrawals from their own accounts or on the purchase of banking metals.
This is stated in the corresponding statement of the NBU.
For reference: On March 4, 2022, the National Bank made changes to the Resolution of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine dated February 24, 2022 No. 18 “On the operation of the banking system during the implementation of martial law”, which allowed individuals not to provide supporting documents when transporting currency values . abroad.
Today, in order to prevent the withdrawal of capital abroad, as well as taking into account communication with the relevant state authorities, the National Bank decided to return the requirement to provide supporting documents when moving foreign currency values abroad worth more than 10 thousand euros (in equivalent).
