Supporting family farms is a priority of the state for the next year
New state support programs, implemented during 2022, are aimed at supporting family farms.
This was announced at a press conference by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Roman Leshchenko.
We are talking about interest-free loans in the amount of up to UAH 1 million for a period of 10 years.
According to him, such loans will be provided so that farmers cultivating up to 20 hectares of land have access to financial resources.
“It is very symbolic that yesterday the government adopted a corresponding resolution regulating the support of small farmers,” noted Roman Leshchenko.
Also, according to the minister, the task for 2022 is to introduce agricultural insurance - an affordable and cheap resource, which provides for up to 60% of insurance premium compensation. He is convinced that this program will ensure sustainable development, first of all, in those regions that are most affected by climate change and are in fact located in the zone of risky farming.
In addition, in 2022, the state will focus on the development of organic farming. Attention will also be paid to young farmers.
