Electronic consignment notes for cargo transportation will be introduced in Ukraine
State
From August 1, 2022, it will become mandatory to use the electronic form of the consignment note for all freight transportation through the territory of Ukraine. Taras Dzyoba, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization, spoke about this in an exclusive interview with AgroPolit.com.
“The transition to electronic e-TTN allows you to instantly coordinate and sign documents for cargo transportation with counterparties, makes it impossible to lose documents, as is the case with paper documents, and ensures the transparency of business processes,” the Deputy Minister noted.
In his opinion, the transition to the electronic form of TTN will simplify the process of cargo clearance, save time and resources, minimize abuse, including corruption, at different levels due to the transparency of the system, and will have a positive environmental impact.
“Since e-TTN will become mandatory for use as early as August 1, 2022, companies should already now choose an electronic document management (EDF) provider they would like to work with and start rebuilding their business processes to meet the requirements of e-TTN,” noted Taras Beak.
