GOSTs for grain ceased to operate in Ukraine

State

In Ukraine, from January 1 this year, all GOST standards in the field of grain and grain products ceased to operate. This was reported in the press service of the European Business Association.

As explained in the Association, the effect of the canceled GOSTs was suspended from December 9, 2014, but according to the orders of the State Enterprise "UkrNDNC", the validity of some standards was extended until January 1, 2022, so that the market had standards for work. However, after their complete annulment, it turned out that at present in Ukraine there are no methods that can be applied to replace these standards of the GOST group.

“Enterprises that store grain should know what regulatory documents will be used to determine grain quality indicators during its acceptance, storage and shipment, including for payments for grain products, starting from January 1, 2022 (wheat, barley, corn) , sorghum, etc.). However, unfortunately, there are no such official standards left,” experts emphasize.

Therefore, EBA calls on the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Economy to contribute to the urgent settlement of this issue, and until it is resolved, then continue the canceled GOSTs.
