Ukraine bought 41.4% more oysters abroad in 2021

In 2021, Ukraine imported 995.8 tons of oysters, which is 41.4% more than in the previous year.
This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service.
In monetary terms, oyster imports reached $5.3 million, which is 43.4% more than in 2020.
In 2021, Ukraine bought more oysters from France ($3.8 million), Ireland ($1 million) and the Netherlands ($455.8 thousand).
Recall that the technology of growing oysters is simple, and this business is also being developed in Ukraine. But domestic oysters are not yet exported, unlike snails, whose foreign deliveries increased by 47.8% in 2021.
