Pig live bait prices increased by 2%
At the end of September, purchase prices for livestock of pigs increased by an average of 2%.
This was reported by the press service of the Association "Pigs of Ukraine". “According to the expectations of operators of the domestic pork market, purchase prices last week had positive fluctuations. Thus, according to the results of trades last Friday, most of the consignments this week were sold at UAH 0.5-1.25 / kg more expensive than in the previous one - at UAH 48.5-50 / kg. Therefore, the mid-market mark of the 39th week added 2% to last week and amounted to UAH 49.3 / kg, ”the message says. Thus, domestic suppliers of pigs of slaughter condition state the relative stability of supply volumes over the past few weeks and, accordingly, their sales. “At the same time, the operators note that“ out-of-order ”requests for marketable livestock from new and former counterparties indicate that there is no surplus in the market. Considering the current level of market activity, a narrowing of the price range of 49-50 UAH / kg is expected in early October, ”the ACS stressed.
As a reminder, in mid-September, pork prices in live weight remained stable for the fifth week.
