Ukraine in January-August 2021 exported 32.24 thousand tons of eggs (worth $ 34.03 million), which is 60% less in physical terms than the same period last year (80.86 thousand tons for $ 72.65 million).

This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

The main importers of Ukrainian eggs since the beginning of 2021 are:

• UAE – by $ 13.42 million (or 14.48 thousand tons);
• Latvia – by $ 8.08 million (6.7 thousand tons);
• Saudi Arabia – by $ 2.13 million (1.96 thousand tons);
• Israel – by $ 2.11 million (1.87 thousand tons);
• Sierra Leone (West Africa) – by $ 1.62 million (1.5 thousand tons).

According to the forecasts of the Ministry of Economy, egg production in 2021 will decrease by 4.3% compared to 2020 – to 896 thousand tons (when recalculated for the average weight of one egg 57.75 g), and the annual supply will exceed demand by 153 thousand tons.
