More than 53 thousand chickens will be destroyed due to the spread of bird flu in Poland

Over the past three days, new outbreaks of bird flu have been recorded in three provinces: Silesian, Lubusz and Lodz.
Because of this, more than 53.5 thousand birds will be destroyed, the chief veterinarian said in a press release. A total of 348 outbreaks of avian influenza have been identified this year.
The disease has been detected on several farms as a result of laboratory tests at the State Veterinary Institute in Puławy. chickens, ducks, turkeys, quails and guinea fowls fell ill with bird flu.
