In Volyn, a case of rabies in cattle was recorded
A case of cattle disease with rabies was registered on the farm of a resident of the village of Mirin, Kovelsky district, Volyn region.
This was reported by the press service of the State Food Service.
The calf was tethered on a leash 1.5 km from the village of Mirin, in the Struga tract, and he showed signs of rabies, and the next day the animal began to behave aggressively. Soon the goby died.
Now the premises and territory where the animal was kept and died are disinfected.
The village of Mirin was declared unfavorable due to rabies, and the nearest territory within a radius of 5 km - a threatened zone, quarantine restrictions were introduced. In addition, an action plan was approved to eliminate the disease of rabies in animals.
Now all animals are vaccinated against rabies in a disadvantaged area and a threatened zone.
It is noted that this is the second case of rabies in farm animals in the Kovel region. Earlier this disease was registered in the village of Podrozhie.
