The State Experimental Poultry Station of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kharkiv region) asks for help to preserve the unique gene pool of Ukrainian poultry.

This is stated on the Facebook page of the NAAS.

“We appeal to everyone who has the opportunity to make a charitable contribution or help with feed raw materials: cereals, bran, flour, cake, vitamin and mineral impurities,” the station workers ask.

For their part, the station staff is doing everything to ensure proper conditions for keeping and feeding and to preserve the unique priceless authentic domestic breeds and populations of chickens (Birkovskaya colorful, Poltava clay, Ukrainian black, Ukrainian cuckoo, White Hercules, Colored Hercules) and turkeys (Kharkovskiy cross) .
