The number of cattle decreased to 2.7 million

As of February 1, 2022, the number of cattle (cattle) in Ukraine was estimated at 2.7 million heads. This is evidenced by the data of the State Statistics Service.

This is 6.5% lower than the figure for the same date in 2021 - 2.8 million heads.

A decrease in the number of cattle was recorded both in enterprises and households.

Most of all lost livestock in the Dnipropetrovsk region (23% compared to the same date last year) and Zaporozhye (22%).

The increase in cattle was recorded only in Khmelnitsky and Kharkov regions.

According to the State Statistics Service, as of the reporting date, there were 1.55 million cows (-6.6% compared to the same date last year). However, a decrease in livestock was recorded in the households of the population. Most enterprises, on the contrary, increased the number of animals.
