Poultry farms in the occupied territories on the verge of destruction
In the poultry industry, the situation is critical, as in many others.
This was announced to AgroPortal.ua by the executive director of the association "Union of Poultry Breeders of Ukraine" Serhiy Karpenko.
“Poultry farms in the occupied territories or where there are battles are on the verge of destruction,” Sergey Karpenko noted.
As previously reported, one of the largest poultry farms in Europe was left without the opportunity to feed the poultry and export finished products due to the actions of the Russian occupation forces in the Kherson region.
More than 1,200,000 eggs and about 30,000 chickens were shipped to the regional center from the poultry farm of the Avangard agricultural holding, located in the village of Skhidnoye, near occupied Kherson.
According to the head of the public relations department of the Avangard agricultural holding Evgeny Manzhenko, there is no power supply and water at the poultry farm, it is impossible to deliver workers and feed due to severed logistics links.
