“We also need to control feed conversion in poultry,” he said. - Often its decrease is a diagnostic sign of infectious diseases in the herd, problems with the microclimate in the room, etc. If the problem that led to the deterioration of feed conversion is identified in time and eliminated, then losses can be avoided.”

According to Sergey Gudyma, the quality and nutritional value of the mixed fodder significantly affect the conversion, and the granulation of the fodder improves.

“If an enterprise buys ready-made feed made at a modern feed mill, its quality will be better,” he said. - Since a powerful enterprise can afford to maintain a laboratory that every 2-2.5 hours takes samples of the finished feed and examines it. Also, according to a number of indicators, vegetable raw materials entering the plant are examined.

If the owner of the poultry farm himself purchases vegetable raw materials and produces compound feed on his own, he will not be able to monitor the incoming vegetable raw materials and the quality of finished products at a high level, Sergey Gudyma added.

“After all, not every enterprise can afford to maintain a highly equipped modern laboratory,” he explained.
