Dairy cows will be bred in the Lviv region
The communal enterprise "Tarkom" (Lviv region), which functioned on the basis of the rented premises of the complex KSP "Lishnyanskoe", was replenished with the first livestock of dairy cattle.
As stated in the message of the Drohobych City Council, 18 cows have already arrived, and it is planned to increase the livestock to 100 or even more cows during 2022.
The newly created enterprise will be engaged in dairy production, as well as the cultivation of agricultural products.
“We intend to provide our community with ecological products: milk, cheese, sour cream and meat. In addition to cows, the plans include breeding goats and sheep. They hope that in the near future the gardens of our territorial community will be able to receive and feed children with milk from the KP "Tarkom", - said the mayor of Drohobych Taras Kuchma.
It is noted that the creation of their own farm in the Drohobych city council pondered for a long time, in particular, this important step was prompted by the expansion of the boundaries of the community. Consequently, a business plan of the enterprise was developed and the experience of similar structures that are already operating in Ukraine was studied.
To establish the activities of the communal enterprise, 50 hectares of land in Lishna were allocated for use. They will equip pastures for livestock.
Another 120 hectares of land for "Tarkom" will be transferred for use for growing forage crops: 40 hectares - for perennial grasses (hay and haylage harvesting), 20 hectares - for corn for silage, 20 hectares - for legumes (soybeans, beans), 40 hectares - for grain crops (for compound feed).
At the same time, negotiations are underway with German partners of Drohobych who are interested in investing in the mechanization of the enterprise and setting up a mini-dairy processing plant in the Drohobych community.
