Spain has limited the sale of sunflower oil in one hand
Trade networks in Spain, such as Mercadona, Makro, Consum, have introduced restrictions on the sale of sunflower oil to one person.
A rush demand for sunflower oil was recorded in a number of regions of Spain, writes abcspain.
As noted, the special demand for this product arose against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine and the cessation of exports of these products. Ukraine accounts for about a quarter of sunflower oil imports to Spain.
According to suppliers, it is the fears of consumers that have provoked the massive purchase of oil in recent days. As a result, a supermarket in Spain, Mercadona, has limited sales of sunflower oil to 5 liters per person per day.
Industry officials said they were forced to impose restrictions on the management of current vegetable oil stocks in order to keep the situation under control. Restrictions were put in place only to ensure that the oil was constantly available in supermarkets.
