Compensation up to 80%. The Cabinet of Ministers has updated the program of support for horticulture, viticulture and hop growing

Planting material

On March 10, the government changed the order of state support intended for the development of horticulture, viticulture and hop growing.

In 2021, the implementation of this program provides for the appearance of at least 1.5 thousand hectares of new plantings, 0.5 thousand hectares of constructed trellises and the organization of 1.4 thousand hectares of drip irrigation. “The adopted decision improves the mechanism for channeling funds and updates the procedure for submitting documents to receive compensation,” said Minister of Economy Igor Petrashko.

The program provides for reimbursement of expenses for:

  • purchase of planting material - up to 80%;
  • construction of trellises and installation of drip irrigation systems - up to 50%;
  • new construction and reconstruction of refrigerators and processing shops - up to 50%;
  • purchase of technological lines for processing and processing products - up to 50%;
  • purchase of machinery, mechanisms and equipment (including foreign) - up to 30%.

Within the framework of the state program, one agricultural producer can count on financial support of up to UAH 60 million.

According to the Ministry of Economy, state support is provided for manufacturers to partially compensate for the costs incurred in 2019-2020.

Context. In March, the Agrarian Committee of the Verkhovna Rada supported the plan for the distribution of state support to farmers in 2021, developed by the Ministry of Economy and specialized associations, in five main areas with a total budget of UAH 4 billion.

In addition to the existing ones, a number of new programs with a budget of UAH 500 million are envisaged, including state support for product insurance, compensation for crop losses in the Odessa region, support for irrigation, organic production, and potato growing.
