Government implements plan to support sowing campaign - Shmygal
The Cabinet of Ministers introduces a plan to support the sowing campaign. The state will compensate interest on loans to cover any costs associated with agricultural activities.
This was stated in a video message by Prime Minister Denys Shmigal.
The prime minister recalled that the government had banned or restricted the export of goods critical for food security during martial law. According to him, we are talking about wheat, buckwheat, meat, eggs, butter, sugar.
"So far, the balance sheets show that Ukraine is provided with basic foodstuffs for the coming months, but we must also think about the future."
Therefore, the government is implementing a plan to support the sowing campaign, which should start soon where possible," he said.
The Cabinet approved a decision by which the state will compensate interest on loans to cover any costs associated with agricultural activities.
Also, farmers will be provided with state guarantees for 80% of the amount of loans they have attracted.
"This will allow our farmers to receive funds for the sowing campaign and be sure that in the event of a crop loss, they will not go bankrupt," Shmigal concluded.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that "on all our land" it is necessary to carry out a full-fledged sowing campaign, "as far as possible."
