Demand for oil pumpkin seeds will grow
An early ripe hybrid of gymnosperm oil pumpkin Beppo with a growing season of 115-120 days is characterized by a yield potential of 0.6-0.9 t / ha, which was confirmed in the production crops of the hybrid in Ukraine.
The hybrid has high performance: the oil content in the grain is at the level of 37-44% (the average oil yield from 2.4 kg of seeds is 1 liter) and the mass of 1000 seeds is 220-280 g.
In Ukraine, Beppo's oil pumpkin is grown using both intensive and organic technology in Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, Kiev and Kharkov regions. For the period 2018-2020 the yield of the hybrid varied from 0.6 to 1.0 t / ha of dry seeds, which confirmed the data of the indicator declared by the manufacturer. The result of the yield at the level of 0.6 t / ha was obtained in the Epicenter Agro holding when the field was littered with quinoa and sunflower carrion.

“The niche is the cultivation of oil gymnosperm pumpkin in Ukraine is underdeveloped, but the market for seeds is crazy. Almost 99% of the total volume of gymnosperms grown here is exported to the EU countries: Austria, Poland, Germany. Pumpkin seed oil is in demand both for consumption and for use in medicine and the confectionery industry in the manufacture of sweets.
