Over fifty hectares in Transcarpathia have been sown with winter crops for the harvest of 2022. This was reported by the deputy chairman of the regional state administration Istvan Petrushka.

For all categories of farms, 25.2 thousand hectares have been sown for grain, including winter wheat on an area of ​​24 thousand hectares, winter barley – 1.2 thousand hectares.

“The total sown area of ​​agricultural crops in all categories of farms in the region is 173.8 thousand hectares. Rational use of these lands will make it possible to develop the region's agriculture even more efficiently and to be more competitive in the Ukrainian and international markets,” said the Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration.

Also, Istvan Petrushka adds that 193.6 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops were threshed in Transcarpathia, and the yield this year is 38.2 c / ha.

The collection of late crops is to be done – corn on an area of ​​26.5 thousand hectares and soybeans – 2.3 thousand hectares.
