Breeders have introduced a new variety of tomato
On the basis of the Scientific and Production Center of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute (Dashoguz), a new variety of ground tomato "Ainur" was obtained by crossing the varieties "Vostok 36x" and "Balkan". This is reported by turkmenportal.com.
The new variety is moderately resistant to aridity and disease. It looks round, smooth, deep red in color. Its average weight is up to 110 grams, in a bush - up to 6 fruits of the same size. The content of dry matter in juice is 6.8%, sugar - 3.5%, acids - 0.5%, vitamin C content - 21.4 mg.
From the moment of mass ripening of seedlings to the first harvest, 116 days are required, the fruiting part of the plant reaches 45 centimeters in height and 40 cm in width.
Ainur tomatoes are suitable both for canning and for the production of tomato paste.
Field trials of the variety were carried out from 2016 to 2018, after which the sample was sent for state examination. The variety is currently offered for industrial use.
