In the Kherson region, the fish catch limit exceeded with a loss of UAH 62 million
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office sent to the court an indictment against the head of the natural park on the facts of official forgery and official negligence (part 1 of article 366, part 2 of article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), as well as his deputy on the fact of official negligence, which entailed serious consequences state interests (part 2 of article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation found that the accused during 2019-2020, having information about the end of the limits for the use of water resources - certain types of fish, did not take measures to stop commercial fishing.
Moreover, the head, knowing about overtime catching of aquatic living biological resources, in order to conceal this fact, signed a report on the use of natural resources within the park, the information in which did not correspond to reality.
Such actions of the accused led to the infliction of material damage in the amount of more than UAH 62 million. To compensate for material damage caused by a criminal offense, the prosecutor's office filed a civil claim for this amount.
