Almost 70,000 brown trout fry settled in the Prut River
According to the State Fisheries Agency of Ukraine, on August 30, 2021, the Prut River was stocked within the territory of Chernivtsi region.
Thus, near the town of Vyzhnytsia, Vyzhnytskyi district and the village of Dubivtsi, Chernivtsi district, Chernivtsi region, released about 67,000 specimens of young rare brown trout with an average weight of 3.15 grams.
The control over the work on the universe was carried out by a commission formed by the State Fisheries Agency, which included representatives of the Chernivtsi Fish Protection Patrol.
Cultivation of fish planting material was realized by the Lopushno Fish Trout Plant at the expense of the state.
