Amazone expands its UX trailed sprayer range
Amazone is expanding its UX range and has launched the high-performance trailed sprayers UX 7601 Super with an actual tank volume of 8,000 liters and the UX 8601 Super with a 9,000 liter tank. Due to the continuous improvement of the compact design of Amazone machines, the new models combine a tank volume of up to 9,000 liters and a boom width of up to 42 m with the good maneuverability and high stability of a single-axle sprayer. With a completely new frame design, the new models thus fill the gap between the largest single-axle sprayer Amazone of 6,000 liters to date and the tandem sprayer with a tank volume of 11,200 liters. Equipped with all of Amazone's innovative technologies for future-proof crop protection, they guarantee the highest precision, efficiency and effectiveness.
The newly developed frame UX 7601 Super and UX 8601 Super run as a continuous unit from the axle to the standard lower linkage. Thanks to the forward-tilted shape of the frame, it achieves an ideal sprayer weight distribution. In this way, the permissible drawbar load and axle load are used optimally. The center of gravity in the new frame concept is very deep. This ensures high stability even on slopes and when cornering. At the same time, the frame provides a sufficiently high ground clearance. The optional bottom guard prevents damage to high and sensitive crops. Another plus: thanks to the one-piece frame without a separate drawbar, the new UX Super sprayers have a relatively low dead weight and a high payload.
The narrow shape of the solution tank, together with the fresh water tanks on the left and right on the frame, contributes to safe movement, especially when the tank is partially filled. Another advantage of the tank made of polymer is the combination of a round shape and very smooth inner and outer walls, which makes it easy to clean. The well thought-out geometry avoids the inconvenient and difficult-to-clean retention walls.
For higher demands, the Super-L3 boom with 39, 40 or 42 m working widths is available for both new UX sprayers.Note: The Super-L3 boom with 12, 24 and 33 m folding points and optional reduction joints on the outer sections offers more flexibility when working with reduced working widths. Folding on one side all the way to the outer segment to avoid obstacles is also a big advantage.
The super-strong yet ultra-light boom sections in the profile design and the hydraulically pre-tensioned hinges on the all-aluminum end sections ensure an extremely quiet boom position. In addition, the new Super-L3 boom variants in working widths from 39 to 42 m are equipped as standard with ContourControl active boom guidance and SwingStop active boom damping.
A special highlight: due to the alternate folding of the sections one into the other, the boom does not protrude beyond the sprayer, thereby ensuring a compact position of the boom during transportation. The folded Super-L boom with springs rests securely on specially designed stops. Therefore, Amazone does not have any damage normally caused during transport.
The ideal agitator performance with large tank volumes is ensured by two high-performance piston diaphragm pumps of 250 l / min (spray pump) and 350 l / min (agitator pump). The highly reliable piston diaphragm pumps maintain a consistently high delivery rate, regardless of the spray pressure. Even with high system pressures, the mixer performance and application rate remain consistently high. In addition, the piston diaphragm pumps are self-priming, which makes full circulation of the solution very simple and quick. It also means an essential basis for fast and complete cleaning. The newly developed pump generation also has a large piston diameter, thereby reducing the mechanical stress on the diaphragms. This ensures very long lifetimes with minimal maintenance costs.
The spraying pump and the agitator pump can be driven either hydraulically or by a cardan shaft. A very useful detail: The hydraulic pump drive, fully integrated in the ISOBUS control, automatically adjusts the required pump speed depending on the operating mode.
In addition to tremendous productivity, the focus on both new UX Super models is towards reducing the strain on the operator. Under the protective hood, on the left side of the machine, is the SmartCenter with all control fittings. In addition, there is a high-performance rinsing tank with a volume of 60 liters. SmartCenter offers the ideal solution for every customer request: in addition to the standard package with fully manual adjustment, there is also an intelligent but simple Comfort package with TwinTerminal 3.0. It includes automatic stop of suction and pressure filling, autodynamic adjustment of the agitator depending on the fill level and remote cleaning programs. Maximum convenience is offered by the Comfort plus package with touch terminal for machine control with automated filling and cleaning processes.
The UX 7601 Super and UX 8601 Super can be equipped with the optional HighFlow + system for efficient cultivation at a sufficient flow rate at very large working widths and high speeds. The intelligent control system allows both pumps to be used for spraying mode while maintaining high agitator performance for a homogeneous solution. All components of the HighFlow + system are fully integrated into the cleaning process.
