Amazone presented a new knife roller with a unique design
Technique, equipment
The German company Amazone has presented the new knife roller as an additional tool for the trailed seed drill Cirrus 6003-2. The roller reduces the number of work steps, which helps to preserve soil moisture, which saves farmers time and money.
This is reported on the official website of the manufacturer.
The closed-core roller design with V-knives is reportedly unique and provides additional crumbling of lumpy soil as well as intensive mixing and crumbling of crop residues. Catch crops and standing stubble are cut across the direction of travel.
The technically new knife roller stands out for its extreme durability. The strong roller bearings and the boron steel blades for a long service life are also outstanding features. The knife holder is integrated into the roller tube. The closed core is highly resistant to stones and dirt. With self-aligning roller bearings and O-rings, the knife roller is completely maintenance-free. Reversible knives sharpened on both sides reduce wear costs in half.
