Sensors covering the garden replace several weather stations

Technique, equipment

Sander de Vriesz, a representative of the consulting company IPSad, (Poland) spoke about the Agro Net system, which, with the help of inexpensive sensors covering gardens with complex topography, can replace several expensive weather stations.

This was discussed during the All-Ukrainian practical forum "Intensive garden", which takes place in the conference hall of the Arena Lviv stadium.

Thanks to the sensors, consultants can react quickly, knowing exactly when treatments are needed, according to a spokesman for the consulting firm. The system is cheap, does not have solar panels, expensive components. Some components can be used in multiple places. For example, gas sensors can be used not only in the warm season in the garden, but also in winter - in the vegetable store.

The system is assembled from individual components depending on the needs. For example, they can install not only dry, but also wet temperature sensors, sensors for humidity, rain, leaf moisture, NPK sensors - they show how fertilizers break down in the soil. GPS sensor - for tractors. Wind force and direction sensor - important when spraying. Flow meters, water pressure sensors, etc.

The data is collected on a server holding information from previous years. Thus, we have an electronic meteorological station.

In the Masovian Voivodeship of Poland, 120 gardeners have united in the LORA network and collect weather data from the region. The system allows you to better protect yourself from frost, weather disasters.
