Väderstad Spirit seed drills in 6 m, 8 or 9 m working widths are able to provide high precision seeding of various crops. The stability of the seeding depth in the soil is achieved with the help of double-disc openers of large diameter (380 mm).

According to the manufacturer, perfect seed placement is achieved by properly adjusting the seeding discs. The distance between the discs should be at least 2 mm and not more than 10 mm: the best distance is 2-3 mm (if during rotation the distance between the discs at any point exceeds 10 mm, the disc must be replaced).

“Adjust the distance between the discs by installing / removing washers with a thickness of 0.5 mm on the disc axis. But remember that at least two washers should remain on each side of the disc. Therefore, if it is no longer possible to adjust the gap between the discs and washers, the discs should be replaced with new ones, ”the manufacturer said in a statement.

It is reported that until recently, when the distance between the discs was changed, additional adjustment of the scrapers should also be carried out. To avoid this, the manufacturer has proposed new scrapers, the working position of which in relation to the discs is always optimal. The new scraper can be installed on older drills.
