AMAZONE innovation wins AGRITECHNICA 2022 silver medal
The development of AMAZONE - the DirectInject direct injection system - won the silver medal in the innovation competition at AGRITECHNICA 2022 - "Innovation Award AGRITECHNICA".
This was said in a statement.
“In the area of plant protection, the demands on farmers and technology are constantly growing. This is why flexibility is becoming increasingly important when choosing crop protection products. In crop production, it is often necessary to work with specific products and active ingredients only on small plots or individual fields. Also, the farmer should take into account the prescriptions for the protection of water bodies when choosing a plant protection product. All of these flexibility requirements are often at odds with the structural evolution of crop production towards larger, more efficient and economical sprayers, ”the company explains.
To resolve this conflict, AMAZONE offers the DirectInject system for the direct application of crop protection products. Thanks to the system, they can be added when processing plants according to needs. A feature of DirectInject in comparison with traditional systems is the speed of the application process. The system is fully included in the solution circulation and sprayer control.
“With DirectInject, you can individually respond to the needs of the crop in the field, as well as save crop protection products and save on additional sprayer passes - this saves time, costs and saves the environment,” explains AMAZONE.
The DirectInject system consists of an additional 50 l tank with the corresponding dosing technology integrated in the storage box on the right side of the UX 01 Super. This ensures easy access to the tank from the ground and safe filling. By integrating the components into the storage box, all sub-assemblies are optimally protected.
”The great advantage of the technique is that the DirectInject system can work with undiluted crop protection products. A mechanical mixer ensures a homogeneous state of even plant protection products that are prone to delamination,” the company added.
