An elevator operating on an alternative fuel was erected in the Sumy region
In village Stepanovka, Sumy region, an elevator of Hanze Agri Ukraine LLC was launched, the capacity of which is 100 thousand tons of simultaneous storage of grain and oilseeds.
This was reported by the press service of the Department of Agroindustrial Development of the Sumy Regional State Administration.
In the Sumy region, services for receiving and storing grain are provided by 42 elevators with a capacity of more than 2.8 million tons, of which 12 are agricultural enterprises with a total capacity of 676 thousand tons. The need for the infrastructure of the grain market requires the modernization and reconstruction of existing capacities and the commissioning of new capacities for storage and processing of grain.

The elevator is able to receive grain in the amount of 4 thousand tons per day, to ship: by rail - 3.5 thousand tons per day; by road - 1.5 thousand tons per day. The elevator has a laboratory certified according to international quality standards ISO 9001: 2015. There are two dryers in operation: with a capacity of 2.5 thousand tons per day, running on gas heating and with a capacity of 1 thousand tons per day - on an alternative type of fuel. A total of 45 jobs have been created, which contributes to an increase in the level of employment of the rural population, an increase in revenues to the budgets of all levels.
