Prices for barley rose in Ukraine - Zernotorg.ua report for January 20, 2022
The cost of agricultural products in Ukrainian ports, according to Zernotorg.ua, is relatively stable. Over the past 24 hours, prices for barley have slightly increased.
“Today, there have been no significant changes in the cost of wheat and corn in Ukrainian ports. Thus, the price of wheat of the 2nd class is 9,182 UAH/g in the port of Mykolaiv and 9,098 UAH/t in the ports of Odesa region. The cost of fodder wheat is UAH 8,626/t and UAH 8,570/t, respectively.
Some prices for barley have risen. Growth in ports amounted to 60 UAH/t. Now the culture costs 8092 UAH/t in the port of Nikolaev and 8050 in the ports of Odessa region.
According to Zernotorg.ua analyst Oleksandr Tishchenko, despite the continued growth of stock prices for soybeans and vegetable oils since the end of December, the physical market in Ukraine is behaving quite calmly. Prices for sunflower and soybeans are gradually declining.
According to him, sunflower prices have not reached the expected UAH 25,000/t, while soybeans remain significantly below their high of UAH 20,900/t. At the same time, stocks of crops remain significant due to low processing rates in the first half of the season against the backdrop of a record harvest.
Recall that since the beginning of the second decade of January 2022, there has been a slight increase in sunflower prices on the world market. On the basis of the CPT plant, sunflower was traded in the range of 18 700-21 500 UAH/t, depending on the oil content of 46-50%.
