Export of grain by Ukrainian ports reached a record

From February 11 to 14 inclusive, according to the ports, the shipment of grain from the sea terminals of Ukraine amounted to 867 thousand tons, including 170 thousand tons of wheat, 54 thousand tons of barley, 643 thousand tons of corn. This is reported by analysts of the agency "UkrAgroConsult".

Thus, the pace of exports corresponds to the record grain harvest in 2021 and significantly exceeds last year's shipments.

It is noted that according to the lineup, from February 1 to February 14, the following items were shipped:

  • wheat - 548 thousand tons, which is 100% more than in the same period last year;
  • barley - 98 thousand tons, which is 32 times more;
  • corn - 2247 thousand tons, which is 100% more.

According to market operators, shipments are made as usual, no downtime or delays in shipment have been registered. Vessel traffic in the Black and Azov Seas continues.

Recall that Russia, in connection with the military exercises on February 9, announced plans to block a significant part of the waters of the Black and Azov Seas. The borders declared by Russia come close to the Ukrainian borders. This was stated by the head of the organization "Institute of Black Sea Strategic Studies" Andrei Klimenko.

At the same time, already on February 10 at 16:43, the Department of Navigation and Oceanography of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the cancellation of the blocking of the Sea of ​​\u200b\u200bAzov region north of the Kerch Strait.

As of February 14, 2022, the press service of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration reported that Ukrainian ports operate without restrictions.
