Ukrzaliznytsia for the period March 1-11 shipped 100.2 thousand tons of grain, which is 87% less than in the same period last year.
As stated in the message of the company, this situation has developed due to the blockade of most seaports.
“In February 2022, 2.9 million tons of grain were loaded, which is 37.4% more than in February 2021,” Ukrzaliznytsia reminded.
The company noted that they would at least double the capacity of the western railway border crossings with the EU countries in order to increase Ukraine's export opportunities, in particular for the transportation of agricultural products.
