Ukraine has closed access to Russian ships to its internal waters
In Ukraine, on January 1, a law came into force prohibiting Russian ships from accessing Ukraine's internal waters. The corresponding document was published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
The law prohibits access to the internal waters of Ukraine for ships flying the flag of the aggressor state, which carry passengers and cargo between river ports. Also, coastal voyages of ships flying the Russian flag are prohibited.
In particular, the registration of Russian floating facilities in the State Ship Register of Ukraine is prohibited.
According to the document, such rivers as the Dniester, Danube and Dnieper belong to the internal waters of the country.
As Ukrinform reported, on December 9, the Russian Federal Security Service announced that the Ukrainian ship Donbass was sailing towards the Kerch Strait. The press service of the OOS called the statements of the FSB of the Russian Federation fake and emphasized that the Ukrainian Navy vessel "Donbass" performs tasks in its territorial waters and did not enter "sensitive zones", and is now returning to the base. Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov said that such messages from Russia are an information attack.
