Tax bill # 5600 adopted by the Rada on November 30 provides for the abolition of excise stamps for ordinary (non-sparkling) wines and test samples of alcoholic beverages - this norm will come into force on January 1, 2022. It is reported by epravda.com.ua.

"The law provides for the expansion of the list of goods that are not subject to labeling with excise tax stamps - test samples of alcoholic beverages and natural wines, without the addition of alcohol, the strength of which does not exceed 15%," the statement says.

We are talking, in particular, about ordinary (non-sparkling) wines and fermented beverages, the actual strength of which is higher than 1.2% by volume units of ethyl alcohol, but not higher than 15%. Provided that ethyl alcohol is contained in the finished product, it is completely of enzymatic origin. And also about test samples of alcoholic beverages that are not intended for retail sale and are imported by business entities licensed to wholesale trade in relevant products for research or testing, but not more than 3 liters of each product.

We add that research and testing involves the calibration of laboratory equipment, tastings, the study of physical and chemical indicators, design.

“We are not talking about the abolition of the payment of excise tax, only about the fact that manufacturers no longer need to buy this brand from the tax authorities and glue it, if glued incorrectly, this is automatically penalties from the Tax Service,” explains Vladimir Pechko, chairman of the public union Association of Gardeners , winegrowers and winemakers of Ukraine ".

Note that today all alcoholic beverages sold in Ukraine with an ethyl alcohol content of more than 8.5% by volume are subject to labeling with excise stamps.
