Viticulture and wine register to be created in Ukraine - bill registered
In Ukraine, they plan to create a unified state information system "viticulture-wine register". This is stated in the bill 6010 on amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On grapes and grape wine", this week was registered in the Verkhovna Rada, reports AgroPolit.com.
The registry will include information about:
- grape growers;
- wine producers;
- vineyards;
- mandatory declarations and other data on wine products provided for by this law, the entry of information into which is mandatory, which will ensure effective administration and state support of the viticulture and winemaking industry.
The authors of the document note that the draft law was developed to bring the norms of industry legislation into line with the requirements of international rules for the production of wine products in terms of environmental practices, labeling and protection of geographical indications of wine products and control in the field of viticulture and winemaking, as well as to simplify business and deregulation in grape - wine industry, creating favorable conditions for the development of business entities of all forms of ownership and the production of high-quality products with special properties, which are due to the environmental conditions of the territory of origin.
