Representatives of 10 Ukrainian associations of winemakers signed a memorandum with a proposal to create and promote the national brand "Wine of Ukraine". The associations also propose to create a "National Office of Vine and Wine" with a corresponding public supervisory board at Minagro. The Economic Truth reports.

“Winemakers will ask to create a trust fund as part of a special fund of the state budget, which will accumulate the excise tax on retail trade in wine products. It is proposed to spend it, in particular, on promoting the Wine of Ukraine brand abroad and supporting the industry in Ukraine, "the message says.

The associations also plan to work for the representation of Ukraine in the International Organization of Vine and Wine and the approximation of domestic tax legislation to the EU legislation on wine products.
