Turks launched a complex for the production of halal meat in the Rivne region for UAH 71 million
Turkish Halal Company has launched a cattle processing complex that will produce Halal products in the village of Velikiy Midsk, Rivne region.
UAH 71 million (about $ 2.67 million) of Turkish investments were allocated for the construction of the enterprise, the Rivne Regional State Administration said in a statement.
The construction of the workshop began in the spring of 2021. The entire course of construction, installation and purchase of the necessary equipment was supervised by Turkish experts, since it is important that the entire technological process meets the canonical requirements of Islam (Sharia).
“After commissioning, we will submit an application for a Halal certificate. It will allow exporting products to all Islamic countries. Local farmers also have an advantage – they will not be able to sell cattle for a pittance, but finally start making money on the sale of high-quality meat,” says Sergey Marchuk, director of Halal Company LLC.
The production capacity of the new high-tech cattle slaughter complex is 10 tons of products per shift. There is a modern deboning, packing, cooling workshop, a Turkish vacuum line, as well as modern refrigerating chambers.
Earlier, in the Volyn region, a case of rabies in cattle was recorded.
